So, you want an adult character.

Well, Hogwarts Lives is based in Hogwarts, so the only way you can really have an adult character is to either create a Hogwarts staff member (see the thread) or to create someone who works in Diagon Alley or Hogsmeade.

Most of these characters will be shopkeepers.  Just like shopkeepers in real life, shopkeepers on Hogwarts Lives have responsibilities.  If you create a shopkeeper, it's your responsibility to roleplay with anyone who comes into your character's shop and needs customer service.  If someone wants to buy something, you take care of that too.

Also like shopkeepers in real life, shopkeepers on Hogwarts Lives can lose their jobs.  If you go inactive without warning or keep ignoring your shop, your character could find themselves out of work.

Still up for it?  Here's a list of the shops with vacancies:

    Diagon Alley (and related Alleys)

    Gringotts Wizarding Bank
    Ollivanders' Wand Shop
    Flourish and Blotts (book shop)
    Slug & Jiggers Apothecary
    Wiseacre's Wizarding Equipment
    Quality Quidditch Supplies
Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occassions
    Magical Menagerie
    Weasley's Wizard Wheezes
    Borgin & Burkes

    The Leaky Cauldron
    Florean Fortescue's Ice Creamery
Various Food Outlets (make a suggestion)

Dervish & Banges (magical repair shop)
    Gladrags Wizardwear
    Honeydukes Sweetshop
    Scrivenshaft's Stationers
    Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes Hogsmeade Outlet

    The Three Broomsticks
    The Hog's Head Inn
    Madam Puddifoot's Teashop
